Sunday we drove over to Santa Fe. It was still cold & breezy. We walked around the downtown square, then went over to the Art District. Very quaint, Spanish style streets & houses.

Albuquerque, New Mexico
We got into Albuquerque on Friday afternoon. Our first stop was dinner in Old Town. What else…Mexican food! Then we walked around to see the Christmas lights in a few of the shops. On Saturday afternoon we took the tram up the Sandia Mountain, it’s elevation is 10,300 Ft. It was 51 degrees at the bottom, at the top it was 32 degrees with 22 MPH winds. It was FREEZING! But, what a beautiful day. We walked around in the snow watching skiers and snow boarders. Then went into the restaurant to warm up where we stayed to watch the sunset. The view, the sunset, the night skyline was absolutely breathtaking. We are so glad we bundled up & braved the cold. It was worth it! Enjoy more pictures in the photo gallery.
Heading West
We had a great Christmas with family in Arkansas. Eat a lot of good food, too many sweets, and a wonderful Christmas Day dinner! My favorite, turkey & dressing.
We were at The Creeks RV Park in Cave Springs AR. We were surprised to find so many other cold weather RV’ers there. We met some very nice neighbors in the park. All helping each other thaw out their water lines each morning because it got down to 15 – 18 degrees! Burr! It is a learning experience everyday. Thank you to all those that helped.
We left Arkansas on Dec 26, with frost covered trees. It was really beautiful, but a bit cold. That afternoon we made it just in time for a beautiful sunset in Palo Duro Canyon, Amarillo TX. It’s hard to believe it is so flat, then you come into this huge canyon. I was so glad we made it for the sunset the colors were incredible. I still am amazed at the beauty God has given us! Thank you God for loving us so much.
Driving all day worked up an appetite, so we went to Big Texan Steak Ranch. No we didn’t get the Free 72 oz steak! But we had to see it & get a picture. There were about 10 people in the past month that did eat it, crazy people. And yes, they were all men!
Tomorrow heading to Albuquerque New Mexico.
